The City of Armagh High School teaches children ages 11–18. The school opened in 1965. It has excellent subjects to choose from in GCSEs and has a reputation of very high standards and results. The school also has great courses to pick from if doing A-levels. The schools slogan "Excellence, Opportunity and Care" is always applied to the pupils to make sure they have a happy and healthy school life and the professional and committed staff are always on hand to help.

The City of Armagh High School is also a very competitive school with sports such as football, hockey, netball, athletics, gymnastics and cross country. The school choir is also competitive and always involved in something such as young voices and a Christmas choir service.
